A Different Youth Sport Experience
The increased emphasis on games and performance in our country's youth sports puts unnecessary stress, competitiveness, and cost on our children's youth sports experience. It can be a barrier to entry for kids who haven't had exposure to the sport. Non-modified, youth-level games aren't optimal for keeping kids' attention and giving them opportunities to develop the needed skills of the sport. One ball per 14-22 kids for one game gives kids minimal opportunities to develop, especially if a kid has less experience, isn’t as athletic, or is just less aggressive as the other kids.
What to expect
High energy, active, and welcoming practices.
Teaching them the fundamental skills and rules they will need to feel comfortable competing in the sport in the future.
The kids getting as many repetitions as possible.
Lessons related to character development and how we can apply the lessons we learn from sports.
Game days! Every 4th practice kids will be divided up and play small-sided games with modified rules to enhance the kids' experience while learning how the game is played.
